Help for adults with mental health and addiction problems is offered at our clinics in Bridgewater, Liverpool, and Chester. Our Lunenburg site offers help for addiction problems. We have an Inpatient Mental Health Unit located at South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater and an inpatient Withdrawal Management ("detox") program at Fishermen's Memorial Hosptial in Lunenburg.

Community-based services include assessment, diagnosis and treatment of addiction and mental health problems, including:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Depression
  • Psychosis
  • Issues of aging
  • Reactions to stress, trauma and difficult life circumstances
  • Harmful use of substances
  • Problem gambling

Our Adult Team provides individual and group therapy.  Treatments focus on setting clear treatment goals and on enhancing client strengths and coping skills. We also have a Community Support Service (CSS) which helps people with chronic and persistent mental illnesses, like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. The goal of CSS is to help people reach their full potential and live as independently as possible. CSS staff may visit people in their homes. Our staff includes:

  • Community Support Workers

  • Mindfulness for Anxiety and Depression
  • Mindfulness for addictions relapse prevention
  • Guerilla Gardening
  • Community Support "Drop In"
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for anxiety and for depression
  • Recovery group (for addictions)
  • Nicotine Addiction Treatment
  • Self-Focus (for those affected by another person's addiction)
  • Outpatient Addictions Wellness Clinic
  • Mood and Anxiety Management
