South Shore Collaborative Breastfeeding network Snapshot

Are you a mom with milk supply issues, sore nipples or have a baby with latching problems or poor weight gain?  Are you a health care provider who has questions regarding support for a patient who is breastfeeding and requires diagnostic tests, surgery or medications?

There is now a referral process in Lunenburg and Queens Counties for health care providers, mothers and community in regards to breastfeeding challenges. Anyone can refer to the network and mothers/family members can also contact the Network themselves.

Contact will be responded to within a 24 hour period.
Call 543-0856 Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm or fax referral to 634-9687

We promote, protect and support breastfeeding and respect the decision each mother makes about how to feed her baby. While breastfeeding is the healthiest option for babies, it can be challenging at first. There are a number of resources available to support women who want to breastfeed their babies.
