A jailed pedophile has sued a mustard company for $450,000 in damages after claiming that they’ve misled ‘customers’ with their packaging.
David Lettieri, 36, who is currently behind bars in Ohio for enticing a minor, launched the legal battle against ‘Salad Fresh Four-in-One Mustard’ for allegedly keeping crucial information from its consumers.
According to the registered sex offender, who is suing the company from prison, the lack of nutritional facts on the package is misleading.
The packet of mustard lists the ingredients ‘distilled vinegar, mustard seed, salt, turmeric, paprika, spices and flavoring.’
But Lettieri believes that mustard seeds have ‘a type of carbohydrate that has calories in it,’ which have not been listed.

In the lawsuit, which he filed by himself with no attorney, Lettieri said: ‘The plaintiff knows salt is in sodium which has nutrition facts for a proper diet.’
It states that he ‘doesn’t know what turmeric is…what spies are in the package…what flavoring is in the package.’
Since being incarcerated in different jails, he’s been ‘unable to reseach such matters.’ [sic]
He said: ‘Because of no nutrition facts being placed on the package a form of neglected was toward the custumers.’ [sic]
His legal docket is littered with spelling errors.
According to Law & Crime, court records show that Lettieri has filed at least two dozen lawsuits against federal agents since being put in prison awaiting his sentencing.
Lettieri was convicted after sending a 13-year-old girl sexual messages then attempting to meet her in a park and have sex with her. The act did not take place.

The Department of Justice put out a statement in June this year, announcing his conviction: ‘U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today that a federal jury convicted David Lettieri, 36, of Harpursville, NY, of enticement of a minor.
‘The charge carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison.
‘Assistant U.S. Attorneys Paul E. Bonanno and Maeve E. Huggins, who handled the prosecution of the case, stated that in October 2020, Lettieri traveled from Broome County to meet a 13-year-old girl (victim) in a park in Wyoming County with the intent of having sexual intercourse, however sexual contact did not occur.
‘Subsequent investigation recovered communications between Lettieri and the victim, including photos of the victim on Lettieri’s phone.
‘Investigators also searched Lettieri’s Facebook account and recovered conversations between Lettieri, the Victim, and the Victim’s sister, which were sexual in nature.
‘The Victim’s age was also revealed during the conversations.
‘The verdict is the result of an investigation by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, under the direction of Sheriff Gregory J. Rudolph, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia.’
